The 2011 Pup Crawl

Want to get your dog involved with a good cause. Check out The Brooklyn Bridge Pup Crawl if you are in the New York City area. The Pup Crawl is aimed to assist animal shelters that have been affected by economic conditions.

Proceeds from this event are shared equally between five non-profit animal rescue organizations: Ace of Hearts (Los Angeles), Bobbi & The Strays (New York), Sean Casey Animal Rescue (New York), Get-A-Life Pet Rescue (Ft. Lauderdale) and Pets for Life NYC, a program of The Humane Society of the United States.

The Pup Crawl Leash, which is illuminated and visible from a quarter of a mile away, keeps dogs safe. Proceeds from the purchase of this leash go to local animal shelters and rescues across the country.

To register for The Pup Crawl, go to www.thepupcrawl.com. It takes place on April 16, starting with a doggie mingling in City Hall Park at 5:30 PM. If you don’t want to attend the event or can’t, just purchase the leash and you can still help animal shelters in need.

After your dog participates in this event, make sure it has a DogPedic bed to come home to. They’ll get the rest they deserve for being so selfless.
